No problem! I'm amazed to see what games people hide behind some images... For a first game, I'd say you nailed it! You might not chose a job in game dev industry, but I assure you that if you make some more puzzle games, add some more improvements and do some marketing, you could slowly start sustaining yourself from them!
I mean, come on! I used facebook ads to promote our game on Instagram. With the settings I used, we reached 140K people for less than 1 euro. That's 140K. Thousands!
We've run the ad for 2 days only, and with about 2 euros we've reached 600K people. I think you could find this kind of money on the street! Look here ๐
I like being transparent about our game, and, being my first time I ever ran an ad, I could say this is totally worth it!
Now, not so many people downloaded our game. That's not because of Facebook, but because the post that we promoted was really bad (and maybe the settings of the campaign could have been changed as well), but I'm sure that if we improve our post we will see some totally different results!
Anyway, I strongly recommend making this game better and trying a promotion on Facebook after that. Don't worry about time. You can take as much as you want to complete it. From days, weeks, months! Just don't leave this die. If you ever need some help with the promotion you can ask me as well. Just send a message on Instagram and I will respond when I can.
